When I started this journey about a year ago, I had high hopes and full intentions to bring about a new and exciting online presence for J. Keith’s Jewelry. With busy schedules, the crazy Christmas holiday, and many other adventures taking place, it seems our blog has fallen through the cracks.
So, with a new day, a new blog is born! And this time around, it’s going to be great! When I first started at the store a little over two years ago, I was lucky enough to help launch our Facebook. Now we have expanded into Instagram and Pinterest as well! With the help of one of our fabulous sales associates, Taylor (who you will meet at a later date), I am taking a new approach to our social media, website and blog. We are getting personal! With this new approach to our online presence, I have a strong passion to also stay true to the 25 year heritage that J. Keith has worked so hard to establish. J. Keith’s Jewelry is known for quality and customer service. That is how J. Keith has built such a strong local business, along with his hard work and dedication. At J. Keith’s Jewelry, our mantra is “We love our customers.” I can personally say that everyone at the store holds true to this. Another thing that J. Keith always tells us is “sell yourself.” So, here we are. We want all of our amazing current and future customers to love us as much as we love them. Periodically, I will introduce one of our team members. This way, whenever you come in to the store, you will always have a familiar face. It is too easy for fine jewelry stores to become overly formal and somewhat unreachable in the consumer’s eye. We are not that store. I want all of our customers, young and old, new and steadfast, to feel like a member of the J. Keith’s family. We try our best to make everyone feel at home when they come in to the store. I want this to also be evident online. I am also going to transfer this personal touch to all of our social media channels. From now on, you will not see strictly marketing campaigns for new products on our social media. Instead, you will be able to find staff picks, style tips, jewelry care, celebrity spottings and anything else that Taylor and I find exciting. We want you to really get to know us and the personality of J. Keith’s. We will still share new products and designer campaigns. On the blog, I will get back on track with all of this as well.
Once we reach 1,000 followers on Facebook, I am going to do our first ever product giveaway. So if you love free goodies (let’s be honest, who doesn’t?!), we need your help. At the end of this blog you will find links to all of our social media channels. Click on those little buttons and like, follow and share. Get your friends to like, follow and share as well. The more people who do this, the sooner you will have the chance to win free jewelry! If you’re lucky, we may even do more giveaways on other social media outlets as our following grows.
Enough about my visions and dreams for all things online. Now it is time to introduce myself, Julianna. Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, I am proud to still call the Hub City home. I graduated from Texas Tech University, majoring in Retail Management with a focus on corporate retail and minoring in business. During my time at Tech I kept myself extremely busy. I was on the executive board of my sorority for two years in a row, member of four honor societies as well as the Tech Retail Association. I’ll admit, I was a little crazy taking all of that on, but I loved every second of it. My final semester, I started working at J. Keith’s to fulfill my internship requirements. During this time, I absolutely fell in love with the industry. Already a fashion enthusiast, I took immediately to the fashion pieces that we carry. Then, as I continued to work, J. Keith took me under his wing and began to teach me everything I needed to know about diamonds and fine jewelry. I literally had stars in my eyes (have you seen a six carat diamond sparkle?!). J. Keith took me on full time immediately after I graduated. I have had the honor of taking on the positions of Buyer, Inventory Manager and Marketing Manager. I could not have been more blessed. I get to see amazing pieces come across my desk every day, spend time on our social media (a millennial’s dream), and even go to Las Vegas on a buying trip to the fabulous JCK Show. Now, with a rebooted store blog, I get to tell the everyone about all of these fabulous things regularly! (I absolutely love my job!) On top of all of this, I am also a serious fashion, beauty and coffee enthusiast with a case of wanderlust. I love to travel and meet new people, study fashion, try new things, and drink as much coffee as my body can handle! I have a desire to give, constantly looking for new opportunities to volunteer or help those in need. I am thrilled to share all of the new amazing pieces that I have found or help you style a new outfit. I hope you are as excited about this new journey that we are embarking on as I am. I look forward to meeting all of you, if I have not already!
